AETA TRIBE FINDS CURE ON TINEA IMBRICATE

“Ginamit ko lang po ‘yun tapos nawala na yung kati at kaliskis,” she explained.

The acapulco leaf was pounded until it extracted to get its nutrients which is helpful on medicating the skin disease.

“Didikdikin lang ‘yun ng bato tapos kapag durog na, lalabas na ang katas at lalagyan ng gas,” she highlighted.

However, she clarified that she’s fully aware of the danger the gasoline might bring on her skin which can worsen and add infection.

“Mas gumagana kasisiya kung lalagyan ng konting gas,” she said.

Pano has been suffering from her early teenage years because of lack of medical attention in their sitio.

Aside from her, Ronnie Garcia, a quack doctor in their community, also uses the plant to cure the whole aeta tribe on their various skin diseases.

On the other hand, Dr. Belen Dofitas, Dermatologist, supported their herbal medicine and provided an explanation on how it can cure the disease.

She found an acapulco tree nearby a river and used it to cure herself from the said disease.
